Chipmunk Flying Lessons

With a number of Chipmunk flying lessons available this is your chance to experience an unforgettable day as you take to the skies. Chipmunk flying lessons can last from 20 minutes upto 60 minutes.

This vintage flying experience is guaranteed to leave you feeling sky high! You'll be delighted as you put on your flying suit and take control of the classic de Havilland Chipmunk.

The de Havilland Chipmunk was the archetypal R.A.F trainer of the 1950s, and this flying experience is your chance to take control of this classic aircraft. Upon arrival you will check in at the club and meet your experienced and friendly instructor. Then, once you've donned your flying suit, you will head out to the aeroplane for a briefing on how the controls work and how the pilot manipulates them during flight, as well as a short briefing on the instruments inside the cockpit.


Your instructor will fly the take off and once in the air you will be invited to take control in the cockpit! You'll be amazed as you feel the aeroplane in flight, and you'll be able to try your hand at some turns and some straight and level flying. You will also be able to request that your instructor demonstrates aerobatic manoeuvres during your flight, including loops, rolls and stall turns. Once you have landed safely back on the ground you will be invited back to the club, where you will receive tea and be presented with a commemorative certificate!
