Experience Details

As well as hangaring three flying Spitfires, the talented team also undertakes restoration work, with two Spitfires currently being transformed back to their former glory. You will get privileged access to see the works going on, as well as having plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures.

However, the highlight of this static Spitfire experience in Biggin Hill has to be the moment you will realise your dream of sitting in the cockpit of the Mk 9 Supermarine Spitfire TA805. This plane is well-known above the skies of Kent and beyond, as she often participates in air displays and it's a real thrill for any aircraft fan to be able to experience what it's really like in the cockpit of a Spitfire.

The tours are suitable for all ages, however under 18's must be accompanied by an adult. You need to be agile enough to climb up into the spitfire cockpit although staff will be on hand at all times to assist guests in and out of the aircraft. At no point do you fly in or with the spitfire.
